What we process and why

We only request personal data that is genuinely needed for the stated purpose. The list below details which data, for what purpose, on what legal basis and for what retention period we process.

Log data (IP, user-agent, request type, timestamp, response code) — safe operation of the site, abuse detection. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Retention: 90 days.
Contact form data (name, email, optional company, message) — replying to your inquiry, preparing a quote. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Retention: 3 years, or as long as the contractual relationship exists.
Marketing opt-in (if explicitly selected) — newsletter, product updates. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Retention: until withdrawal.
Cookie data — strictly necessary cookies storing language and theme preferences. See the Cookie notice for detail.
Product demo sessions — when you book a demo we need the name, email and company you provide to schedule and follow up.

Retention

We retain personal data only as long as the purpose justifies. Once the retention period expires, the data is deleted or, where required by law, archived (locked).

Processors

For specific tasks we rely on technology partners that act as processors on our behalf and under our instruction. We have written data-processing agreements (DPAs) in place with each.

Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) — CDN and WAF; transfer adequacy via the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Functional Software, Inc. dba Sentry (USA) — error monitoring (if enabled).
Email-sending provider (Resend / Postmark / SES depending on configuration) — sending contact and quote-confirmation emails.
Nortinia Internal Platform (NIP) — our self-managed Kubernetes infrastructure in Hungary.

Third-country transfers

Some of the processors above operate in the United States. In those cases the lawful basis is either the European Commission's adequacy decision (Data Privacy Framework, where applicable) or the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

Your rights

Security

We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures: TLS 1.2+ in transit, AES-256-GCM at rest, role-based access control (RBAC), audit logging, and regular access reviews. In the event of a data breach we follow GDPR Articles 33-34.
